Some notes about installing Jira 4.3 to Glassfish 3.1

1. Change web.xml header to 2.5 version. See http://java.net/jira/browse/GLASSFISH-10592 for explanation.

2. Remove META-INF\persistence.xml from propertyset-1.5.jar due to “Exception Description: The attribute [dateValue] from the entity class [class com.opensymphony.module.propertyset.ejb3.PropertyEntry] does not specify a temporal type. A temporal type must be specified for persistent fields or properties of type java.util.Date and java.util.Calendar.”

Hope it will save some time for somebody.

One thing to add – to succesfully compile using “mvn package” open jdk has to be installed, so pls add “apt-get install openjdk-6-jdk” after “sudo apt-get install maven2″
